Have you ever heard the phrase “Call AAA”? If so, they’re referring to the American Automobile Association (AAA), which is typically just shortened to “Triple-A.” The organization is best known for its 24/7 roadside service, but a membership offers a lot more than a quick fix for a flat tire.
AAA members gain access to a mountain of discounts and rewards. From restaurants to car rentals to resorts, and more, you may be shocked at all the perks a membership offers.
Today, I’m going to highlight some of the most significant AAA discounts you should know about. Whether you can’t decide if you want to become a member, or you already have a membership and just want a refresher on some of AAA’s best benefits, I have you covered.
Unlock These Hidden Discounts With Your AAA Membership
The AAA Discount & Rewards program has more than 100,000 discount partners that offer their members automatic discounts.
The following is a relatively tiny sampling of the exclusive discounts available, with a focus on some of the most significant savings at extremely popular restaurants, stores, and other businesses.
1. Hertz Car Rentals
Traveling can be expensive, so the more ways you can save money, the better. Renting a car can be an excellent way to explore a new city, but it can also be costly once you add up all the various types of charges.
Fortunately, AAA members can receive discounts of up to 20% off the base rate for all Hertz car rentals. Additional perks include:
- Young renter fee waived (savings of $29 per day)
- Free use of an infant or booster seat (savings of $13.50 per day)
- Additional AAA drivers are free (savings of $13.50 per day per driver)
- Loss Damage limited to $5,000 (assuming no violations of the rental agreement)
- Loss of Use charge waived
- 10% off prepaid fuel option
Plus, if your Hertz purchases are made at AAA or directly through Hertz and you use either the AAA Visa Signature credit card or the AAA Cashback Visa Signature credit card, you earn an additional 1% back.
Want even more Hertz savings and perks? AAA members who join Hertz Gold Plus Rewards receive the following:
- One free rental day
- Ability to skip the counter at over 50 airports
- Ultimate Choice (ability to choose your car from the best options)
- Points toward free rentals, experiences, and rewards
If you’re a AAA Premier member, you also get an automatic upgrade to Five Star status with 25% more points each rental.

2. Hard Rock Cafe
The Hard Rock Cafe chain of restaurants is known for its rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia. And if you have a AAA membership, you can get a 10% discount at all Hard Rock Cafe locations in the United States and Europe, as well as participating locations in other countries.
The discount works for food, merchandise, and non-alcoholic beverages (ironically, no “hard” drinks). Note that it excludes tax, gratuity, limited edition and charity merchandise, as well as separately ticketed and group events.
To receive your discount, you just need to show your membership card at the time of purchase.
3. Hilton Hotels & Resorts
Hilton Hotels & Resorts boasts more than 7,100 properties around the world, scattered across 19 brands that range from budget-friendly to luxury.
Fortunately, you can sometimes bring your cost down with your AAA membership, which provides a discount of up to 10% on stays. Are you a Hilton Honors member, too? You can get discounted prices and still earn points.
The easiest way to receive your discount is by booking directly at AAA.com/Hilton or Hilton.com/AAA.
I tested out booking a Hilton hotel in Waikoloa, Hawaii, with and without a AAA membership. (A girl can dream, right?) Without the membership, the room cost $365, plus an additional $122.22 in taxes and fees, for a total of $487.22 per night. Using the AAA website, the same room cost $322.25, with an additional $111.54 in taxes and fees, for a total of $433.79 per night. That’s roughly $53 per night in savings—an 11% discount overall.

4. Universal Orlando Resort
AAA members can get discounts for hundreds of theme parks and attractions, including Universal Orlando Resort theme park tickets.
Universal has four parks:
- Universal Studios Florida
- Universal Islands of Adventure
- Universal Epic Universe (opens May 22, 2025)
- Universal Volcano Bay
Discounts for AAA members depend on the number of days, the number of parks, and the desired dates. I took a peek at regular rates for a select rate range, and the prices for a three-day ticket to two parks ranged from $123 to $133 per day, depending on the dates. With a AAA membership, those same days ranged from $100 to $110 per day.
That’s $23 savings per day, or roughly 18%-19%. That’s extra money to spend on food and souvenirs.
5. LensCrafters
LensCrafters is one of the most popular names in eyewear, with more than a thousand stores nationwide. The chain is known for carrying designer eyewear brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Coach, and Burberry. LensCrafters carries glasses both online and at physical locations, so whether you want a virtual try-on or an immediate fitting, you’re all set.
AAA members receive exclusive discounts on contacts, prescription eye exams, and more in person and online. Among LensCrafters’ AAA discounts are:
- 20% off frames + 50% off lenses with a complete pair purchase
- 15% off lenses or frames-only purchases
- 30% off non-prescription sunglasses
- 10% off conventional, disposable, and premium contact lenses (participating locations only)
- $150 bonus on complete pairs of Nuance Audio Glasses (in-store only)
Glasses discounts are valid on multiple pairs. However, they cannot be combined with vision insurance or other discounts.
All you need for your discounts is your AAA membership card.
6. UPS
You’ve likely shipped or received a package via UPS, which delivers more than 22 million packages each day. But you might have used a UPS store for something other than just shipping. UPS stores sell postage, boxes, and office supplies; customers can get documents scanned, faxed, and shredded; and your local UPS might also be able to create designs or even take your passport photo.
AAA members can flash their card to save 5% on UPS shipping. They also get 15% off eligible in-store products and services, such as moving and packing supplies, packing services, faxes, printing/copy services, and shredding. Additionally, a AAA membership gives you 15% off new mailbox services at participating locations.
7. Love’s Travel Stops
Whether you drive regularly for work or enjoy taking road trip vacations, gasoline can eat up a lot of your money. With more than 600 locations across 42 states, Love’s Travel Stops is a common place for motorists and truck drivers alike to fill up their tanks. In addition to gasoline and diesel fuel, Love’s offers restaurant food, oil changes, other preventative maintenance, and more.
If you’re a AAA member, you can save even more on every gallon of gas and auto-diesel with the Love’s Connect App. Non-AAA members who use the app save 10¢ per gallon on gasoline. Those with a AAA membership get 13¢ off every gallon of gasoline and 20¢ off every gallon of auto-diesel. To receive your discount, you simply scan your barcode, enter your account number, or enter your phone number in the store or at the pump.
Additionally, AAA members can get 50¢ off every gallon of bulk propane. Using Love’s Free Drink Club, people with an AAA membership get every fifth drink free, whether you prefer coffee, tea, fountain drinks, or ICEEs. Just scan your mobile barcode.

8. Home Chef
Prefer a home-cooked meal to going out? Your AAA membership can get you discounts for Home Chef meal kits. Home Chef lets customers choose between more than 35 weekly meal choices (and 18 “extras”) to have delivered straight to their doorsteps.
Some of the company’s current meal kits include “The Pastor” Beef Cheeseburger, Salmon with Brown Butter-Walnut Sauce, and Gnocchi in Homemade Red Pepper Cream (complete with garlic bread).
Going on vacation? Feel like you just need a break? You can skip deliveries and resume them later.
How much can you save as a AAA member? You’ll get 60% off your first box and 20% off the next two months, good for a total savings of up to $220.
This deal is for new customers only. Unused box discounts expire 10 weeks after signup.
9. Plants.com
Looking to, ahem, spruce up your home with some new plants? W
hether your home just needs a bit more green or you self-identify as a “plant mom” or “plant dad,” you might consider getting some new flowers or trees from Plants.com. The site offers a wide variety of plants, from succulents to orchids to bonsais. You can also send a leafy gift straight to a loved one’s doorstep as a gift, complete with a personalized message.
If you’re a AAA member, you can skip a trip to the plant nursery and get online discounts. Currently, members can save up to 25% on select plants using the promo code AAAPLANTS at checkout.
This isn’t only for small purchases, either! I tested it out with a $124.99 large Money Tree plant and it rang up a $31.25 discount.
10. Spot Pet Insurance
Is your household full of furry friends? Many new pet owners struggle with the decision of whether or not to purchase pet insurance. One pet insurance option they may consider is Spot pet insurance. Spot lets customers visit any veterinarian in the U.S. and Canada, has a 24/7 telehealth line, and offers up to 90% cash back on covered pet bills.
Those with AAA memberships (excluding those in Hawaii, Minnesota, and Tennessee) can save up to 20% on Spot plans; 10% off the first pet on a policy and an additional 10% multi-pet discount on all additional pets. Plus, members in qualifying states can get a $25 Amazon gift card.
Pet insurance can be pricey, but it’s hard to put a price tag on peace of mind about your pet’s health.
